Shared Topic Idea: Questing with your alts!

HI guys, First of the shared topic ideas are now bi-weekly. We wanted to share the topics more to bloggers who like to share there thoughts as 1 week seems to be too short. So we like to invite bloggers out there to participate and have fun! You can also share any idea for us to talk about.

From week March 15-28, was contributed by Dragonray of Azerothian Life its all about "Questing with your alts" more info check out @blog azeroth forums. a few bloggers already shared there thoughts. Tomorrow is the deadline so what are you waiting for? join us!

For me, Questing with my alt toons are fun. not only that you benefit from knowing what zones where to go make it a lot faster. And that using heirloom items as they are bind on account heirlooms makes the experience killing mobs far more useful than how i leveled my main toon back then.

I enjoyed leveling my alt toons, from acquiring gears to finishing quest lines and getting achievements why not? This way you also able to learn how to play your class better. But you see, now a days are a lot different you can skip questing in one area just because how fast to acquire experience now a days its not even per level, per zone idea now. Not to mention, the new promo for boosting your character to level 90, and benefit from having your professions leveled up as well if you do boost at level 60.

But in my case, I leveled and quested with my Rogue, Death Knight, Mage, and working on shaman now. I dont count my monk as she was a boosted character but she has been leveling her professions though, because i ddint got her to level 60 to boosted her so the professions part didn't count so as the flight path. But i still enjoy playing my monk and that by leveling her profession i still benefit from getting the flight paths, learning her skills and all that.

I recently did introduced all my 5 level 90s that Im proud of over at my other blog in Amerpriest blog. As that will give you an idea how they are. I know sometimes its hard to quest with alt toons, sometimes you don't even know which one first. But lately, I have been focusing on my main toon, but secondly my DK as I really enjoyed her as a Frost spec.

Questing with alt toons is like never ending if you really wanna know that. because you still catching up. One toon after one toon. you quest dailies, weeklies, normal quests from zones you didn't finish, rep grinding, But for anything just enjoy what you do and you'll be fine. Have fun like always! treat your characters like each one of them are like your main toons. Timeless isle seems to be the great place for alt toons to pick up equivalent of tier 14 gears out there so take advantage as gears you pick up are Bind on account as well.

Anyway, That's all folks. Please enjoy playing the game! Don't forget to join our bi-weekly shared topic ideas... For next week we will talk about Timeless isle idea by yourstruly. See you then! and Good luck questing with your alts!

Gears, Guild, Raid and More!

Hi guys, I know it's been a week since I came back to gaming and blogging. Just thought to share that my first week raiding with my guild Vagrants in Staghelm server was okay. At first I thought since it's Tuesday I might not able to get a spot to raid with them but I did. We cleared the bosses up until Ragnaros, of course as I learned the mechanics of the fight while watching all the Tankspot videos, still I have to ask our raid leader to give me an overview on how my guild does it because different guild has different strategies and especially in 10 mans because we have to adjust the position and assignments.

My Guild Made the Panda Sad

A month being away from my keyboard and raiding in game it seems like it's been a year since I last logged in. I talked to my guild master about our recent guild progression and She said that everything was great and our guild actually finished the normal mode of Firelands on farm mostly every week. I am happy to know that everything was fine. They are pretty much geared to the tooth and ready to kill some heroic mode bosses.

Shared Topic: What Keeps Me coming back to play WoW?

Hi guys, Thought I share my point of views on Why I keep coming back to play WoW? This is a Shared Topic idea by Ringo Flinthammer over at Blog Azeroth. I hope I will just catch up on time for this week. Ringo asks: "Despite a well-publicized dip in subscriber numbers, most WoW players have stuck around. But those folks didn't leave for no reason, so what keeps you coming back and still playing? Is it the friends? The new content? Old content still to explore? Alts? PvP? Roleplaying?"

After 4yrs+ of playing World of Warcraft, I honestly don't know Why? Maybe because a lot of things happened this past few years from raiding, questing and leveling all my characters and gained friends? Or maybe because I also blog about it? I honestly keep telling myself I will finally quit, but like a year ago when AION was released. I thought for sure this will be a change of pace, but then again I was missing something, probably because I was so used of playing WoW like my hot keys, macros and rotation. When I play a different game it was really not the same, that's when I realized I had more friends in WoW, I like twinking my interface, my macros, rotation, my characters and that's probably why I keep coming back to play World of Warcraft? But is that really all the reason to it?

I honestly have this weird feeling that WoW is like planting something in our brain that you can play 24hrs just to level 1 character, and that is crazy! Don't get me wrong, I still love the game. But Many WoW players now a days felt like they have given up. They realized that playing World of Warcraft is a bit too much and taking a lot of time playing vs spending more time in real life. And I think I am one of those players out there who realized that. Especially after Cataclysm has released for me it was too fast that I wasn't able to enjoy Wrath of Lich King much to move on and kill another boss and internet dragon in the new expansion.

Sure, I was excited when the expansion released but I wasn't excited enough. You can really tell, my previous guild we lost many players before I left, my new guild is not doing very well either, even in blogosphere community, twitter. and just recently reported that World of Warcraft lost freaking millions subscribers and I bet they are having fun playing RIFT now.  But as much as I sound like I am discouraging you not to play WoW now because of what is happening. There are still things you can't give up. Like this warcraft wisdom that Tokaa shared last 3 weeks ago, it also explains What is Warcraft for us?

But despite all the things that is currently happening or just about to happen. The question will still be open to answer. I know the community is tired, but let's say Just take it easy? Enjoy while your subscription is still up. Raid while you can, Chat and get involved in the community. I myself did told you that I missed some things I wasn't able to do then maybe I need to do something about it, to explore more, to quest more, to do all the achievements available. So Yes, and that's what keeps me coming back to play WoW? because I have so much unfinished things to do, I am not giving up WoW just yet. I am not saying I have to play 24hrs to do all these things but I just need to know my limitation and time management will do the wonders.

Poll Question Review: WoW Premium Services

Hi guys, It has been talked, and discussed about WoW Premium services around the community this month, and millions of subscribers are either upset that they have to pay another feature that Blizzard wants to develop later this year and they are still working on it. Just thought to ask you Do you agree with it, Do you think this services is worth paying for? their objective for the features for players is to be able to have some type of other convenience and connectivity-oriented with cross-realm Real ID party system. A blue post by Zarhym quoted below in discussion in World of Warcraft forums.
by: Zarhym
These are premium services added to better accommodate the wants and needs of players. They do not factor into what you get for buying the game/expansions and paying monthly for access to the serers. By no means do you need any of these premium services to enjoy World of Warcraft gameplay to the fullest extent. Should you desire to take advantage of some extra services to enhance your enjoyment of the game though, they're certainly there for you... if you feel it's worth the price.

We've made countless quality-of-life improvements to the game in terms of content, UI, data storage, character profiles, etc. We've expanded upon what you get for your monthly subscription by leaps and bounds since the game was first released, but the subscription price has not changed.

Everything we do and every service we add costs more money than you might realize. So, if we do occasionally add some premium services which are purely to give you more options for enjoying the game how you want (changing your realm, faction, race, name, physical appearance, etc.), we need to make sure there is an appropriate value added to those services so we can sustain them, sustain our business, and keep focusing on making this the best game possible. :)
In my opinion, I agree of what Zahyrm said above, it is just optional services like what you pay of moving your characters in different servers, paying for vanity pets and other services. It is your choice if you want to pay for this services or not and Blizzard just thought about these feature just like any other developers out there to satisfy the needs of there costumers.

But of course some are opposed and doesn't agree with the services, you can't please everyone. So last week I put up a poll question about WoW Premium services at first I totally disagree and I don't want to pay any other services besides paying for my subscription monthly playing this game and just to play with your friends cross realm. but I realized It is not mandatory, it is just an option. and Honestly, I did spent over $300 in total just by moving my characters to different realm not just main toon but my alt toons as well, I also spent buying mounts and pets from Blizzard store and I didn't complain, that was my choice and it was my money that I spent not anyone's.

I will go ahead and tallied the votes here of the Poll question I asked last week started May 22,2011. Also This will be part of the upcoming Shared topic of Blog Azeroth started today and it's also related to Premium services by Corath of Corath's Blog

The Votes

I Agree - Pay to Raid with friends = 1 vote only (11%) Someone did vote that they agree to pay and play with friends cross realm for this services, I respect his/her decision on this because it is really up to you like I mentioned above its just an option.

I Disagree, Im not paying for any of that! = 10 total votes (90%) Of course, we can't please everyone and I bet Blizzard thought the same way. Yes this is another added feature for WoW players out there who wants to play with friends cross realm but the players who voted most in this poll question of the week doesnt want to pay the services, and that is obviously understandable. to know other responses of other players check the WoW Forums here on what they're thoughts about it too.

I think all results is done. I will not post any poll question this coming week, I apologized in advance for I will be really busy to pack for my move to California. and I might also missed some post daily. But I will make it up to you guys, and I am sure to be back on track on that. thanks for all the voters this week. you guys are awesome! Have a good one! don't forget to RT, suggestions and comments below! found me on my twitter @amerencelovewow. Thank you! =D

Day 14: This upsets Me (Time is ticking You know!)

Hi guys, another day for 20 days WoW Blogging challenge by Saga at Spellbound. Today, I will share some bad experiences mostly in game that upsets me. I sometimes rant these things in twitter and some real life issues like living in a 3rd floor apartment and laundry room is in 1st floor without any elevator, you actually have to use the stairs yea that upsets me that kind of thing. But whatever I say there its only limited to 140characters. So now that I have the whole page to share without any limitation so here goes, hope you can relate to this.

Image from cafepress.de
In game what upsets me are common things like if I am leveling and I need an item for the quest, here you are trying to get into the item while killing a mob. and then suddenly someone appears from no where grabs the item! Hello Mister!? that was mine! hate it and that upsets me so bad. also when you try to cast your spell on the mob that you targetted and someone took it from you they damage more and instead it was your kill you didn't get credit because someone took it. of all the mobs in the area why took mine?? just upsets me, your in a good mood to quest and kill stuff it just ruins it when that happens it is really upsetting. I know I shouldn't be upset with these things because everyone will say it's just a game, but guess what you work your butt off and try to level and quest. Time is ticking its not like my time i spent in WoW was borrowed right? so there! of course sometimes you have the right to get upset on some things.

Image from cafepress.de
In raiding, I know that it could be difficult at times especially when forming a raid group and not everyone is online. It's already passed the raid time, invites was supposed to be 6pm and then everyone start to logged in at 7-8pm, it upsets me because you commit to raid and signed up for specific time and why even bother to sign up if your not logging on time? unless you notify the officer ahead of time or at least 2hours prior the raid time then it will be okay, but wasting other's people time just to wait for you is really not a good call. I also dislike players who prepare there consumables on raiding time, unless you already have mats in your bag and you can do these while waiting for others inside the zone, but still I recommend to prepare these things ahead of time.

Image from cafepress.de
Players who raid or even just running a 5 man dungeons should know every boss fights right? I think you should. at least some basics idea how the fight goes because seriously even before patch and running PTR's can help you study these things. there is no excuse why you wouldn't know the fights. I can totally understand if your just a 10yrs old kid who just relieved to play your Dad's toon. but not knowing the basic mechanics of the fight is just ridiculous of course whoever knows the fight had to explain it, this actually happened to me most of the time in 5 man dungeons.

It just wonders me how the hell did you level without running a non-heroic dungeon to heroics without even knowing the fights, especially with Zul'aman and Zul'gurub these raid dungeon existed before 4.1 patch released at least you should know by now how the fight goes especially for those who actually started in Burning Crusade. In raids like when to move out of fire? seriously? you can't move your ass and end up dead, WTF are you doing? not only your wasting other players time, wiping in raid is too much and just slows down the progression. I know I may sound like a bitch but guess what thats fact. Time is ticking you know! You don't want the raid leader to keep telling you what to do during raids, you have to be prepared and know the fights so it will be a successful run.

Image from cafepress.de
Also, The GM Ticket upsets me big time. Not only does the service is so damn slow but cmon Blizzard you should hire more technical support, your earning millions of money to develop and create this game. We deserved to be answered faster and not wait 24-48 hours just to reply in 1 damn ticket. It is upsetting, but there is nothing you can do after submitting the ticket you either get replied in game sent to your in game inbox, or email, rarely now a days do I actually get replied to talk to a GM in game. Especially if it's an issue being hacked or gears. So Blizzard try to at hire more please that will really help reply whatever concerns or problems we having in game.

Anyway, I think you guys get the point these are things that mostly upsets me in game. It's hard to deal with players who are idiots and very inconsiderate of other players play time also voicing out your concern and problems in game to a Game Master. The clock represents That Time is Gold and we don't want to waste that because other than just playing the game we also have real lives to take care of. If you missed and like to catch up my previous 20 days challenge by Saga at Spellbound please click the links below. Have a good day guys! =D if you missed my other Days challenge please click here.

My Reviews on Leatrix Latency Fix

Hi guys! 2 years ago, I was in Khaz Modan server with my priest and most of my guild mate were having trouble with latency. Naina one of my close friend in the guild shared a great tool for those having issues in game i.e lag and latency. The disconnection problems in game causes our progression during Wrath of Lich King failed  immensely. So we found Leatrix Latency Fix.

What is Leatrix Latency Fix?

"Leatrix Latency Fix will reduce your online gaming latency significantly by increasing the frequency of TCP acknowledgements sent to the game server. For the technically minded, this is a script which will modify TCPAckFrequency. You will see reduced latency in many online games including World of Warcraft, Rift, Aion, Warhammer, Lord of the Rings, and more". - Leatrix (author)

And also "Blizzard implemented a checkbox option to disable nagling in World of Warcraft patch 4.1 (referred to as 'network optimisation'). This only serves to disable nagling on data packets so that data packets can be sent to the server more frequently. Leatrix Latency Fix disables nagling on acknowledgement packets to force faster responses from the server, they're two different things and can be used together. This question has been answered in the FAQ too". - Leatrix (author)

The installation of this tool is easy but I recommend you read all the information before doing anything, it is best that you understand the process of this tool on how it works. My guild mates tried it and it works wonders from latency of 300fps it went down most half of it and was very stable too. since then our progression in guild was doing great. My recent guild here in Staghelm is also having same issues and when I recommend them to check this out, it helped them I was glad. The good thing about the tool not only works in World of Warcraft but other games as well including Rift, Aion and other MMO games. So If you want to know more about this tool please read here. Make sure to also know the System Requirements before using this tool. Thank you Leatrix, Keep up the good work and for updating this tool to keep it working.

Anyway, I definitely recommend this tool for healers and tanks too because I know how your job is and making sure you have stable connection during raids and don't have any lag issues in game will help a lot if, but take note that this is an option for those players who doesn't have a good computer video cards or something. This tool will saved you a lot. It is one of the top Tools used in game. and its safe too. For anymore details you can also visit the official website of this tool. Thanks for reading today's Addon reviews, this was brought to you by WoW Interface. Have a good one guys!

Day 5: My Favorite Items in game

Hi guys, another challenge for 20days saga for WoW Blogging challenge over at Spellbound. We are now at Day 5 which will be discussing about What my favorite items in game. Hmm, I know that there will probably many of them, but I will just narrate 3 of what I really like since I played World of Warcraft. The items in game are incredibly fascinating, from gears, to weapons, pvp items, companion/vanity pets, mounts, even foods and drinks. But what I really like are the following;

PRIEST TIER 6
I just like how it was designed, and of all the tier set for Priest I really like the 6th one. I remember when we are clearing Hyjal, Serpentshrine and other Raid dungeons during Burning Crusade it was fun! and though there was a lot of Priest in group and chances you will not get your set in one night, just being patient and you'll get it eventually. How about other priest out there? Did you like Tier 6?

KITTY MOUNTS
During Burning Crusade I grind most of my time playing World of Warcraft, and the place where you can acquire such Kitty mounts are in Darnassus city of night elves. So I grind the reputation turning in lots of cloth just to be exalted because during that time you can't acquire any mounts if you want the fastest one if your not exalted, now a days its so easy to acquire mounts. But anyway, what I really like about the mounts until this day is they are fast, they jump quiet high too, and the rawr. I just loved them. and in Cataclysm if your guild is level 25 you get the King of the Jungle, Lion Mount its awesome!

COMPANION/VANITY PETS
As much as I like to collect all of them, so far I only have 81 out of 100. And that's a lot for me! From common animals like cat, squirrel, birds, and many more they are easy to acquire, some may have a few quests line to get one but there is a pet store mostly in all city in the world. You can feed them, love them, even put a leash to them, and play catch. They don't attack because they are friendly, and to add collections they are also some vanity pets Blizzard is selling for $10.00 you can go to there pet store. and recently they just put up a new cenarion hatchling for any purchase bought for the pet goes to Japan earthquake relief.
